Ranchers Mobile Storage started with a simple idea. People in Montana deserve storage that shows up when and where they need it without creating more work in their lives.
We are Justin Downs and Lynn Hill, lifelong ranchers and the owners of Ranchers Mobile Storage. When we are not helping customers, we are out on the ranch handling the same early mornings and long days we grew up with. That way of life shaped how we run this business. Be reliable. Be honest. Do the job right the first time. Treat people well. Those values guide everything we do.

after seeing how many folks in the Billings area needed storage that was easier than driving back and forth across town. Traditional units make you load and unload several times. They make you borrow trucks or rent trailers. It all adds up to a lot of wasted time. We wanted to offer something better. Clean and secure storage that comes directly to your property with local owners who answer the phone and take care of you.
A big part of what makes that possible is our Cardinal Mule system. It is a specialized forklift that lets us place units in tight spaces where a flatbed trailer simply cannot reach. Narrow driveways, tight alleys, soft ground, and uneven spots are no problem. The Mule lifts and carries the unit without dragging it, which protects your driveway, lawn, gravel, or concrete. You get precise placement every time with no damage or mess left behind.

We are also expanding to offer long term and permanent storage options. If you need a place to keep your belongings for a while, we can bring a portable storage unit to your home or business. You load it at your own pace. Then we pick it up and store it for you at our secure facility. You can access your unit whenever you need, and if the time comes that you want everything brought back, we deliver it right to your doorstep again. It is storage that moves with your life instead of working against it.
